Dr. Raphael Nakhon currently serves as the EMS fellow at Maimonides Medical Center for the 2026–2027 academic year. He earned his medical degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his emergency medicine residency at St. Barnabas Hospital, where he served as chief resident and participated in the EMS and Disaster Medicine Track. During residency, he developed his interests in prehospital care, disaster preparedness, mass-casualty incident planning, and EMS education through dedicated specialty training, hospital emergency management initiatives, and disaster simulations. He has also contributed to community outreach through CPR and basic life support education. His professional interests include prehospital care, disaster and mass-casualty medicine, EMS education, and community outreach.
